If you are traveling in a car at 268 mph, you don’t really want a lot of distractions. The cockpit of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is very clean, simple and elegant. And it better be for close to $2 million. It certainly looks like a nice place to be.

Come on people.
I gave Nissan a hard time a couple of months ago about their current styling choices. But I will give them one thing, their cars cannot be mistaken as anything else. At the very least, Nissan is being original.
Chrysler on the other hand is well….not. Their cars are either retro throwbacks or something you’ve already seen before. To me, it literally looks like the 2010 Saab 9-5 and the 2011 Chrysler 200 were either designed by the same person or they had the same teacher.
The lines on these two cars look so similar it is depressing. The headlights, grille, taillights, door handles, windows, fog lights, holy crap…..
Do you agree? Or am I seeing things?
Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 Track Testing – Video of the Day
This could be some of the coolest 21 minutes and 29 seconds of video ever (actually, after the 9:00 mark it gets kinda boring). There is no music. No commentary. Just a really sweet race car attacking corners, accelerating and braking ferociously and, of course, making race car sounds. There are a ton of different camera angles and the quality is fantastic. Could we get more videos like this please?
Baby Got Back: GTHAUS Widebody M3 – Photo of the Day
As Paris Hilton would say, “that’s hot.” GTHAUS gave this E92 M3 some plastic surgery and it now essentially looks like a BMW GT2 race car. Now, I’m not always a huge fan of matte finishes, but imagine what this would look like in flat black. In the words of Jeremy Clarkson, “I’ve just had a crisis.” And, according to their Twitter feed they’ll have a new project car at SEMA. I can’t wait to see it. (more…)
Jaguar C-X75 Concept – Video of the Day
Jaguar really surprised a lot of people when it unveiled its C-X75 concept at the Paris Motor Show last month. What was surprising was not its gorgeous design or the fact that it’s an eco-friendly super car. Porsche’s done that already. The surprise was that instead of a gasoline engine assisting the electric motors in power and range extension, it has two micro turbines. Yep, little turbine engines that recharge the batteries and send extra power to the electric motors. (more…)

Raeder Motorsports has developed a racing version of the TT-RS in conjunction with Audi’s Technical and Quattro divisions. It is a customer car designed for European endurance racing. Its first appearance will be at an event October 16th at the Endurance Championships at the Nurburgring. Looks fast doesn’t it?

Gorgeous Red MkV VW Jetta GLI – Photo of the Day
I love VW. I’ve owned 3 of them and I’ve loved them all. So, I felt a little bad about giving Volkswagen such a hard time about their new design aesthetic in a previous post. I still stick to my guns, but like I said, the new cars aren’t bad looking. They’re actually good looking cars. I just think they’re a little boring. Maybe “conservative” would be a better word.
So, in honor of the now replaced MkV Jetta, I give you this great photo by Atom 12. This is one sexy looking car and as far as I can tell, the only thing that isn’t from the factory is the lowered suspension. Schön!
4 Cylinder Mercedes S-Class? That’s The Dumbest…Wait…That’s A Great Idea!
No Joke. The new Mercedes-Benz S250 CDI has a 4-cylinder diesel engine.
At first I was thinking that this was pretty dumb. If you’re going to spend close to $100k on a car it has to have a gigantic fuel-sucking engine to help the 2 and a half ton land yacht accelerate like a sports car right? Maybe not. The more I thought about it the more this car really makes a lot of sense.
The 2.2 liter oil burner puts out 201hp and 369 lb-ft of torque at 1,600rpm and (more…)
