Porsche Unveils the Cayman R at the Los Angeles Auto Show
Today at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show Porsche pulled the covers off of a new, sportier Cayman. They’ve named it the Cayman R.
Think of it as the Cayman version of the Boxster Spyder. Less is more. Less weight, less amenities, more power, more money.
For about $5k more than a Cayman S $(66,300), you get 120 less pounds (2,855) an additional 10hp (330), +3 mph top speed (175) and a 20mm lower ride height.
If the Boxster Spyder is any indication of how the Cayman R will perform, I’m sure any of those lucky enough to drive one are in for a treat.
