Something Hot is in the Oven at Ferrari
Few things are hotter than a Ferrari F430; Blair’s Mega Death Sauce or Megan Fox are probably the two things that could distract me long enough to stop daydreaming about cruising the streets in a sweet F430. However leave it to the brilliant engineers and designers over in Ferrari’s labs to dream up something even more sizzling that will soon make your taste buds salivate and your forehead drip with anxious, nervous sweat.
I’m talking of course about the Ferrari F500. Before I get into too many details of this beautiful gem of a car, it’s important to take note of some prominent features of the F430, in order to make a fair comparison worth spilling your drool over (I did mention that you would salivate).
The F430 boasts a powerful 4.3 liter V8 which pushes a powerful 490 horsepower @ 8500 rpm. This translates into an impressive 0-60mph just shy of 4 seconds (some say 3.5 others say 3.6, regardless, it’s fast enough to rip my pants straight off my legs as it flies past me).
Performance is an understatement when you consider the 5.0 liter rear mounted engine, the magnesium alloy frame, rear wheel drive and beefy breaks. The V8 5.0 liter is already catching attention on the track claiming to break 4 second mark and is rumored to be pushing even lower. This shouldn’t come to too much of a surprise considering the impressive 3.6 second time the F430 pushes, though what is a slight bit of a surprise is how early in the game some of these rumors are coming, despite the car still being in the middle of production.
Conspiracy theorists rejoice. This beast is expected to release to the public in 2010, well before your 2012 apocalypse. Expect to see this beauty headline at the Frankfurt auto show.
