Formula Drift is hotter than ever this year and they’ve already completed 2 of their 8 pro championship events. Warren and I caught the event in 2006 and 2007 at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma. Unfortunately we missed last year’s event, but we’ll definitely be back this year.

The new format has 32 drivers competing for the championship, where they are judged on execution and style, rather than speed. After two rounds, Ryan Tuerck leads the pack with 182 points and my personal favorite, Rhys Millen, is down to 14th place with 106.50 points. Good thing there’s still time to catch up!
