Drive Five Luxury Supercars on a 120 Mile Road Trip

By Erin on February 6, 2012 @ 5:16 pm

World Class Driving Supercar TourLast week I told you about the Audi Sportscar Challenge at Infineon Raceway. It was a great gift for my husband and his father for Christmas, but this deal today on Google Offers blows it out of the water.

World Class Driving is offering their US Supercar Tour XL – the opportunity to drive 5 luxury supercars 120 miles on the open road – for $1,795. Yeah, that’s a lot of cash to dole out, but you car enthusiasts know the chance to drive a Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Superleggera, Mercedes SLR Mclaren, and Bentley are well worth that price tag.

You ride with a friend and get to switch off between vehicles for the full 120 miles of Bay Area road tour. Plus, they record the whole session in HD video to make your friends drool.

The Audi Sportscar Experience at Infineon Raceway

By Erin on February 3, 2012 @ 9:18 am

For Christmas I bought my husband and father-in-law the Audi Sportscar Experience at Infineon Raceway. Like others in the video they said it was one of the most amazing experiences – getting to push the R8 to the max on the track. Plus, the timed auto cross challenge and classroom instruction helped them become better drivers.

From the time I bought the gift, to the time they attended the event in June we got our Audi S4. Although just riding passenger side in the S4, the instructors were taking the cars to their limits and everyone was amazed at the performance of just the stock vehicle.

If you have a true car enthusiast in your family it’s a perfect gift. But be ready, the next year they’ll be asking for the full one-day or two-day class ($1,395 – $3,495)!

An introductory forum ($249 per person) at the Audi facility in Sonoma, California includes:

  • Drive the TTS through a timed auto cross challenge
  • Drive the Audi R8 on the Infineon Raceway track
  • Ride right seat, instructor-driven demonstration laps in the S4

The Car Overload Beta is Now Open!

By Aaron on January 12, 2011 @ 6:43 pm

After many ramen-fed and caffeine-assisted months of coding, design, research and content creation, the Car Overload Beta website is now open for business. We’d like to give a big thanks to all of our Alpha and Beta testers for kicking the tires and providing such valuable feedback.

So What is Car Overload Anyway?

Car Overload is like one big strainer for online automotive content…except, well, sexy. Don’t you get tired of having to sift though page after page of content in an effort to find, share and discuss the stuff YOU are interested in? Put simply, our goal is to filter out the noise and amplify the signal. Sounds like a lot of work right? Well….it is. And we’re just getting started. (more…)

BMW Releases Final Video of New 1-Series M Coupe – Here Are All 3

By Aaron on December 9, 2010 @ 12:34 pm

BMW’s newest M-car is about to be released and to help promote the little bugger they’ve launched a series of videos. The third and final video launched yesterday so we thought you might like to check them all out in succession.

Incase you haven’t heard, the new rocket from Bavaria is the 1-Series M Coupe. BMW enthusiasts know why it’s not called the “M1″, but if you’re questioning the name, there’s some history behind the M1 name that BMW does not want to mess with. I think they made the right decision.

Nurburgring Nordschleife Gran Turismo 5 vs Real (E92 M3)

By Warren on December 4, 2010 @ 12:56 am

Perhaps the next best thing to owning and driving an E92 M3 around the Nurburgring would be jumping into a simulation of said experience in Gran Turismo 5. I have yet to play GT 5, but in Forza 3 it is definitely a blast.
