The Car Overload Beta is Now Open!

By Aaron on January 12, 2011 @ 6:43 pm

After many ramen-fed and caffeine-assisted months of coding, design, research and content creation, the Car Overload Beta website is now open for business. We’d like to give a big thanks to all of our Alpha and Beta testers for kicking the tires and providing such valuable feedback.

So What is Car Overload Anyway?

Car Overload is like one big strainer for online automotive content…except, well, sexy. Don’t you get tired of having to sift though page after page of content in an effort to find, share and discuss the stuff YOU are interested in? Put simply, our goal is to filter out the noise and amplify the signal. Sounds like a lot of work right? Well….it is. And we’re just getting started. (more…)

BMW Releases Final Video of New 1-Series M Coupe – Here Are All 3

By Aaron on December 9, 2010 @ 12:34 pm

BMW’s newest M-car is about to be released and to help promote the little bugger they’ve launched a series of videos. The third and final video launched yesterday so we thought you might like to check them all out in succession.

Incase you haven’t heard, the new rocket from Bavaria is the 1-Series M Coupe. BMW enthusiasts know why it’s not called the “M1″, but if you’re questioning the name, there’s some history behind the M1 name that BMW does not want to mess with. I think they made the right decision.

Nurburgring Nordschleife Gran Turismo 5 vs Real (E92 M3)

By Warren on December 4, 2010 @ 12:56 am

Perhaps the next best thing to owning and driving an E92 M3 around the Nurburgring would be jumping into a simulation of said experience in Gran Turismo 5. I have yet to play GT 5, but in Forza 3 it is definitely a blast.

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport Interior – Photo of the Day

By Aaron on October 19, 2010 @ 12:46 pm

If you are traveling in a car at 268 mph, you don’t really want a lot of distractions. The cockpit of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is very clean, simple and elegant. And it better be for close to $2 million. It certainly looks like a nice place to be.

2011 Chrysler 200 Looks Just Like 2010 Saab 9-5

By Aaron on October 18, 2010 @ 4:30 pm

Doppelgangers

Come on people.

I gave Nissan a hard time a couple of months ago about their current styling choices. But I will give them one thing, their cars cannot be mistaken as anything else. At the very least, Nissan is being original.

Chrysler on the other hand is well….not. Their cars are either retro throwbacks or something you’ve already seen before. To me, it literally looks like the 2010 Saab 9-5 and the 2011 Chrysler 200 were either designed by the same person or they had the same teacher.

The lines on these two cars look so similar it is depressing. The headlights, grille, taillights, door handles, windows, fog lights, holy crap…..

Do you agree? Or am I seeing things?
